Dose:
Adults: Take 1 tablet 2-3 times daily or as professionally prescribed.
Warnings:
- Berberine may reinforce the effects of other drugs that displace the protein binding of bilirubin.
- Contraindicated during pregnancy and lactation.
- Caution in patients taking midazolam.
- If diarrhoea persists beyond recommended durations for different age groups, seek medical advice.
- Do not use in jaundiced neonates without definitive research.
- Discontinue use 7 days prior to general anaesthesia.
