Detox Smoothie Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup leafy greens (such as kale or dandelion greens)
  • 1 small beet, peeled and chopped
  • 1 small carrot, chopped
  • ½ cucumber, sliced
  • ½ green apple, cored and chopped
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 1-inch piece of fresh ginger, grated
  • ½ teaspoon turmeric powder (or a small piece of fresh turmeric)
  • A pinch of black pepper (to activate turmeric benefits)
  • 1 cup coconut water or almond milk
  • Ice cubes (optional)

Method:

  1. Wash and prepare all produce: chop the greens, beet, carrot, cucumber, and apple. Grate the ginger and turmeric.
