Withania Complex contains Withania, traditionally used in Ayurvedic medicine as a calminative and nervine to relieve sleeplessness. In addition, Korean Ginseng and Withania are traditionally used in Western herbal medicine as adaptogens to help the body adapt to stress.

  • Licorice is traditionally used in Western herbal medicine to support healthy adrenal gland function

Excipients

Calcium hydrogen phosphate dihydrate, croscarmellose sodium, glucose monohydrate, hypromellose, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, sodium starch glycollate.

Dose:

Adults: Take 1 tablet 3 to 6 times daily.

Warnings, Cautions and Contraindications

  • Do not use if pregnant or likely to become pregnant.
  • Contraindicated in patients taking phenelzine.
  • Due to Licorice: caution is advised in patients receiving prednisolone by injection, in those taking albendazole and in those with elevated liver enzymes taking immunosuppressives; contraindicated in hypertension, oedema and in those taking thiazide or loop diuretics.
  • Caution is advised in patients taking central nervous system stimulants, insulin of oral hypoglycaemic drugs, nifedipine and warfarin.
  • Korean Ginseng is best not used during acute infections.
  • Monitor patients taking thyroxine.
  • Discontinue 7 days prior to general anaesthesia.
  • If patient symptoms persist, seek additional professional advice.
